Daily Update

Back in Beit Meir, a “regular” day of learning and sports still contained plenty of excitement. There was a ton of activity in the afternoon, with the continuation of our 3 on 3 tournament on center stage.

Akiva Rosenzweig, Yavniel Field, and Yoni Stone were the crowd favorites, combining great athleticism with sublime teamwork. Alas, their run ended in the semifinals, to the dismay of the crowd. We crowned our intermediate division champions: congratulations to Mendy Millman, Yaakov Kaminetsky, Ari Brandwein. For those who had already been eliminated, there was a roller hockey tournament, swimming, and pickup basketball. There was also a special mini-tiyul, this time tracing the steps of the Aron Kodesh through the Bet Shemesh area. Thanks to our mini-tiyul coordinator Gedaliah Goldstein for bringing Tanach alive in such an exciting way.

During mussar seder, NCSYers reconvened with their chaburas - but with a twist

Instead of meeting with their regular madrichim, each madrich switched places with another, providing a fresh voice and an opportunity for new relationships. Post maariv learning options included a special shiur based on the writings of Rav Kook zt”l.
